SPRING AND FALL CLEANUPS : Spring and Fall cleanups usually occur in late Fall after all leaves have fallen or Early Spring when everything has been killed by a few freezes. Cleanups consist of leaf removal by means of bagging or mulching, trimming trees and shrubs, cutting perennial plants to the ground, removing all debris and trash from landscape areas, and incorporating compost around all plants.

It is crucial to remove heavy layers of leaves from your lawn because they could potentially cause areas of your grass to die. Mulching leaves back into the lawn is a great way to add vital nutrients back into the soil for your grass to use. Consistent trimming of plants promotes healthier plants overall. This is especially critical with flowering perennials as most of them die back to the ground in the winter months. Incorporating compost around all plants is great for replenishing the levels of nutrients in the soil before Spring and the growing season. Compost will slowly release nutrients, feeding your plants over time.
